Monoclonal antibody for measurement of apoptosis and necrosis (200 tests)

Dead-Cert^® imab6 is a mouse IgM monoclonal antibody that has exquisite sensitivity in detecting early changes in the plasma membranes of cells of any type from any species undergoing apoptosis. Dead-Cert^® imab6 binds to phospholipid and other molecules, inaccessible on viable cells, that become exposed on the outer surface of the intact membranes of cells undergoing apoptosis. The reagent is as sensitive as the commonly-used Ca²⁺-dependent phospholipid binding protein, annexin V. However, unlike annexin V, the binding of Dead-Cert^® imab6 to apoptotic cells is Ca²⁺-independent and specialised binding buffers are therefore avoided. Used in conjunction with your choice of fluorochrome-coupled secondary antibody, Dead-Cert^® imab6 is a convenient, versatile and cost-effective alternative to annexin V for measuring apoptosis by flow cytometry or fluorescence microscopy. Dead-Cert^® imab6 can also be used to detect necrotic cells that have lost membrane integrity.
